Clays Ferry Bridge

Lexington, Kentucky

Constructed in three phases in order to maintain all lanes of freeway traffic around the clock, this new steel truss bridge carries I-75 at a height of over 200' above the Kentucky River. Over 5,400 cubic yards of mass concrete were placed in the main piers for this bridge, in one of the first applications of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet's thermal control specification for mass concrete.

We were one of the first companies to apply the Kentucky Transportation Cabinets thermal specifications for mass concrete. Our facilities allow us to be produce our prestressed concrete to the exacting thermal specifications that any conract will demand.
